Most VPN services want your email address, credit card, and a downloaded app before you can do anything. OnlineVPN requires none of that. Open the site, type a URL, start browsing. That's it.

Browser-Based Architecture

OnlineVPN uses a combination of server-side proxying and client-side Service Worker technology. When you visit a site through OnlineVPN:

  1. Our server fetches the content on your behalf
  2. A Service Worker in your browser intercepts all sub-requests — images, scripts, API calls — and routes them through the proxy automatically
  3. The target website sees our server's IP address, not yours

This approach handles the full browsing session, not just the first page load, making it far more functional than basic single-page proxies.

Privacy by Design

We do not store full browsing history, submitted traffic content, or your real IP address as permanent account data. When proxied-page analytics is enabled, OnlineVPN may process sanitized page_view events for pages opened through the proxy so we can understand aggregate usage. These analytics events exclude query strings, URL fragments, access tokens, and the original page title, and you can disable them from our Privacy Policy page.
